So here’s my first stab at Blackout Poetry. I was sitting in the sun doing the crossword and then that was finished, so I did the word jumble and the stupid word search, and I even did the awful Sudoku. And it was still sunny outside and I wanted to keep sitting there reading, and I came across that weird part of the comics page where they have that narrative about bridge that means absolutely nothing to me. I mean, do bridge players really read that and enjoy it? Or is it like, “Huh, okay, I know what those words mean.”

Anyway, I figured I’d cut it up into a little poem. I’m not in love with the result, but let’s hope I get better as I do more of these. This was harder than I expected, but also a lot more fun. I imagine it’d be a good way to pass the time next time I’m stuck in an airport for a while.

Here are some photos of Josh Hutcherson from the Man of Style section of April’s Instyle. In an interview with the magazine, Josh talked about how he makes “really good French apple pie”, that he enjoys buying shoes for women, how he’s not dating Vanessa Hudgens, being a biker dude, and how he’s very “I love you, I love you, I love you!” when he’s in a relationship. Ah, the man is amazing! He’s just so bloody charming, I can’t get enough of him!
